As each day and week goes by, I try to make mental notes to stop and jot down the cute things Ben says, but then I never get around to writing them down. For example, he says "callerpitter" instead of "caterpillar", and "Tim Porton's" instead of "Tim Horton's", which always cracks us all up for some reason. Ben also has a lisp, so all the "s" sounds come out as "th".
From memory, here are a few of the things Ben has said recently that have made us laugh.
Conversation in the car, stopped at a railroad crossing, Mummy having just, mere seconds before, explained to Ben the purpose of the gates:
Ben:"Daddy, when the gates go down, that means you have to stop. And when the gates go up, that means you can go. Do you see the difference?"
Sometimes he sounds so american, as in:
Mummy: Ben, are you finished eating your lunch?
Ben: Huh?
Mummy: Are you finished eating your lunch? Are you all done?
Ben: Huh?
Mummy: Ben, look at mummy. Look at me.
Ben: Mmmm?
Mummy: Are - you - finished - your - lunch?
Ben: Yes, Mommy, I'm all done.
Mummy: OK, good. Bring your plate to the kitchen counter, please.
Ben: Huh?
