Drawing with stencils
Ben surprised me the other day. I sometimes (okay, often) try to leave him to play by himself so he learns to entertain himself for more than 5 minutes, and he has been doing pretty well. He usually plays trucks, or plays trains. Sometimes he will cook food for Mommy with his toy kitchen. This time marked the first time that he chose to do anything artistic, though.

He hauled out his chair and his drawing table, set them up in the living room and asked me to help him with "doing these" - he had found his stencils, which are actually the skeleton sheets from magnetic animals that were punched out long ago. Notice the technique. Also note the dog asleep on the chair behind Ben!

That's an impressive pencil/pen grip.
