Teeth problems

About three weeks ago, Ben was putting some toys back where they belong in the play yard at preschool and slipped and fell face first on the ice. His teacher called me to come and look at his teeth. Her exact words were "Were his front teeth always that crooked?" Oh geez!
It turns out that his teeth WERE always that crooked, but his front lip was bleeding and was mashed up real good and his gums were bleeding around his top front teeth.
Two days later the swelling had gone down and he was happily biting into apples again.
Two weeks later, we noticed that one of his top front teeth was grey. It was also a little loose. So we made an appointment with the dentist to have it checked out. He did great at the dentist. He sat in the chair by himself and let the technician and the dentist have a good look at all his teeth.
Turns out the discoloration is due to bleeding inside the tooth and as the dentist predicted, it has since turned brown in color. She said some parents opted for a root canal and bleach treatment of the tooth to turn it back to white. I declined that option while thinking "What the hell!?" and took him home after he chose two gifts from the treasure chest for being such a good boy.

You can kind of make out his grey tooth in this photo. I'l try to take a close up of it soon now that it is turning brown and post it.
When Grandma Judy asked what the dentist said, he replied matter-of-factly "My teeth are grey and they will fall out."
