When I proposed Play-doh the other day, he answered with a question: "Do I need to wear my new dinosaur apron?" When I said no, he didn't need to wear his apron to do Play-doh, he declined. So I told him that he needs to wear his apron to cook, for example, or to finger paint - would he like to do some finger painting? "Oh! That's a good idea, Mommy!"
His descriptions of what he is painting are getting more elaborate. This time, he painted such grandiose scenes as "A skating rink with marks on it from the skates - they need a Zamboni - there it is in the middle." There was also the medieval-scape "Two dragons and a knight. There is the moon in the sky, it is nighttime." They all look like big goopy ponds to me.
